Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor for WCBD TV and was an investigative reporter. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases led to being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston reporting and co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving over to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor during weekends. The present role of O'Dell as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of shows that were pre-showarrivals to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
